A music festival's signage had people talking before the first note played.
Washington Pavilion's annual Lallycooler music festival needed creative for the main entrance, an overhead welcome structure and branded pillar wraps, designed fast to meet a deadline, give event sponsors some design love, and give festivalgoers a unique experience.
Edgewise built the entrance system to expand on Lallycooler's existing brand. Guests walking through the main gate see an overhead welcome structure and four-sided pillar wraps done in new colors and texture, pushed further than the ticket ads but still unmistakably Lallycooler. Before touching final art, Edgewise put together moodboards and design directions so the Lallycooler team could pick a direction with confidence, which meant production could move the moment sizes and specs came in.

“I can't tell you how many times people stopped me and said the design was SO cool, all thanks to you!”

Color and layout exploration
Once the entrance design started the system kept growing to include VIP entrance signage, sponsor placements, feather banners, a tunnel arch, and wayfinding graphics. That meant working directly with the print vendor on measurements and install limitations, including an on-site visit to sort out how the column wraps would actually fit once cut in place. Edgewise also built it as a true system, colors, patterns and typography the in-house designer could pull from and apply across her own pieces, so everything felt consistent no matter who was designing it.
